Laura's Vegan Table


  • 1 15 ounce can of chick peas, drained
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • about 6 artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • juice of half a lemon
  • one small radish, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dulse flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley or 1 teaspoon of fresh parsley

This was sort of a last minute idea to bring to a party. But sometimes those simple, last minute recipes work out really well. Adapted from a vegan tuna recipe, I added in some Old Bay Seasoning and a little radish to give the dish a slight kick. Artichoke adds a nice texture and this dish was great with some crackers. A quick and easy appetizer to bring to parties. It was fun little addition to Friendsgiving this year!


Put the chick peas to a medium sized bowl and mash with a fork into small pieces. Add the tahini, chopped artichoke hearts and lemon, and mix until well combined. Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Serve at room temperature with crackers or fresh veggies.
